Become A Hospice Volunteer

Hospice volunteers come from all age groups and have a variety of cultural, social and professional backgrounds. Applicants should be in good physical health, emotionally mature, stable, non-judgmental, and should have a sincere desire to help. California Home Care And Hospice has several types of volunteers who either work directly with patients, and those persons close to them, or help in non-patient areas. There are various opportunities to volunteer:

Special Events : Help California Home Care And Hospice raise money to support the programs and services of CHCH. Volunteers help with fundraising events such as estate sales, golf tournaments, receptions, auctions and health fairs.

Patient Support : Volunteers provide family members with a much-needed break for a few hours each week. Activities include running errands, writing letters, reading and providing companionship.
